Wife works for Autodesk
So discussing the possibility of layoffs in her office over IM (which just got announced this morning)

I thought that we would be ok but XXXXX (our director) just walked in with and HR lady

so people here are freaking out

yeah, I think better than alot of the others around me
HiD says:
I mean if it's going to happen, it's going to happen...there's nothing we can do about it at this point
HiD says:
but if it does happen I'll be at Potts!
(Pott's is the local pub which was the hangout of choice every time there was a cut - it was pretty busy some days in the 2001 timeframe)
